So, this week Hannah had Alyssa stay over with us for a day! (I stayed over for two) Alyssa's only in 7th grade; we are in Sophomore year, but she's still pretty cool to hang out with.

The Ultimate Sleepover

The Ultimate Sleepover|Pimples and Freckles Blog
We took a lot of pictures...
Hello dear readers! Our 4th of July did not end with a romantic kiss from super hotties under the fireworks... #4everalone but, we did have a joyous time  all the same. We actually hung out July 2 and July 3.
So, what we did.
We watched Legally Blonde, and we both cried a tad bit at the end. Hannah made me pass out! We designed a house, choreographed a dance, went to Church, ate some yummy food, watched The Office, talked until 1:49 am, and many more things. Also, during the storm, we hid in the kids fort with towels and played Go Fish! Hannah's white boxer decided to roll in mud! Probably one of the most fun times we have ever had. We had planned on going for a run... yeah. A couple days before hand we had hung out and just talked and took pictures.  Also, we have reached 2,117 views on this blog!!

Finally after Forever

Well its been FOREVER since Hannah and I hung out. Finally we arranged a get together. Unfortunately we couldn't sleepover, but oh well. Hannah was wary about posting this picture since (and I quote) "Hope you look so fancy and look like-uggh- this." She had just finished working out when I came over, so actually she's the cooler one. Her mom and my mom were making these peppermint and chocolate cookies with essential oils for a Young Living Convention. I don't usually indulge in cookies, but those were yummy and healthy-ish. Doesn't Hannah have a lovely garden in her back yard?
I went to a beach party the next day. Hannah was supposed to go, but she went to "The Little Mermaid" broadway show instead.
However, I have some pictures of us at the beach last year. So, that explains the picture below.

Snapshot Of The Past Couple Weeks

Well Hello Our Dear Readers!
I (Hope) haven't posted in a while... Hannah and I have been BUSY. We haven't gone over to each other's houses in almost a month!!!!!!!! Of course, we have seen each other at Church and at various parties. Hannah is having the dilemma of finding a bathing suit. She has this problem EVERY SINGLE YEAR... she is very particular about the bathing suit she gets :p It must be modest but flattering, it must stay on but cannot be too thick, it must have boy shorts and will preferably cover her abdomen but cannot be a one-piece, it must be cute but not girly, it usually is blue, and it is always extremely difficult to find. For the five years I have known her, Hannah has always been very picky about her clothing. I refuse to go clothes shopping with her now because she spends the whole time deciding and never actually buying! LOL. It's cool though, she wouldn't be Hannah if she weren't difficult :p Of course, she has to put up with me as well. I talk, and I talk, and I talk, and talk some more. My words usually are interesting, thoughtful, or entertaining...but there are a lot of them. Any time I experience anything somewhat astounding or intriguing, I call my closest confidant, Hannah. I always say "Guess what?" and she usually guesses what I have to say before I say it. Even if there is no possible way in all the twinkles of the universe that she could have known. Now, to be a good friend, she sometimes pretends like she has no clue what I'm going to say so that I can throw it at her in breathless excitement. I believe I am not making much sense now...

5 Things To Do With Friends Outside Of The House

5 fun things to do with friends outside of the house!

So, you want to do something other than the cliche watch a movie-talk about boys- prank call- stay up late sleepover, right? But what to do?
Well, we have picked out five things that are a blast and... Drum Roll Please... not in the house!

#1 Rockclimbing
Seriously, this is the bomb. You get to work out and see friends at the same time! Hannah and I always nick name the people there. One time, there was this kid who climbed the whole place sideways. We named him monkey boy. Genius, I know.
#2 Go to a sports game
You can cheer at the wrong team and still have fun! Usually, there is cute dudes... But, my favorite thing about going to sports is the energy; its infective. The crazy screaming crowds really bring a vibe of fun
#3 An amusement park
Funnel cake and crazy rides, its the perfect thing for facing your fears. Make it a truth or dare kinda thing. OR. You could even make a list of things to do.
     1) Hug a random person
     2) Pretend to puke when someone can see you
     3) Go a whole ride without screaming
     4) Win a prize
#4 Go to an ice cream shop
Icecream makes people happy, its not expensive, and almost everybody likes it!
#5 Go to a vintage store
Shopping at the mall is great, but shopping at places with unique items is even better. You can all find something cute and non-cliche!

Pre-Easter Party

Egg Race- Fun activity for easter!
Egg racing!
Yesterday, Hannah's family held an Easter party. We played a game where we threw real eggs at each other... You can imagine how well that turned out. We also spun on the swing, confetti egged people, egg hunted (yes...), egg raced, and just enjoyed the heck out of ourselves! I met one of Hannah's friends named Alyssa. Alyssa is twelve, but she is really sweet.

Oh! And, both Hannah and I got smashed in the face with cupcakes... Courtesy of my sister (Hi, Chloe!)
Hannah had a cupcake mustache!

Lets take a moment to notice how completely EVIL Hannah's expression is...
We confetti egged several other people too...

Confetti Egging! Great for an easter party. You can also hit the eggs with a bat. :)

So yeah! Today we went to church together, then we just hung out at her house until dinner when my mom picked me up. Actually... We did a bunch of chores, watched 'My Little Pony' and 'Mean Girls', we made our first real dinner together (cooked cohesively), we played basket ball, talked, and sang. And that's a low-key day for us...

Is Your Best Friend Worthy Of The Title?

Is Your Best Friend Worthy of the Title? Find out! http://pimplesandfreckles.blogspot.com/

Almost every girl has a 'best friend'... but how do you know if it's a real friendship or just temporary. We have come up with some tell-tale points of whether your bestie is forever or not.
Questions to ask yourself.
#1 Does she(or he) blab your secrets?
I had a 'best friend' who would tell her family EVERYTHING I told her, even after she promised not to. I felt really uncomfortable talking to her. So if the answer to this question is 'yes', then maybe realized she's cool to hang out with, but not someone to confide in. So, she probably isn't a best friend. But, if you think she is doing it unintentionally, then just talk to her about it. If everything clears up, then you have your bestie back.
#2 Does she make time to spend with you?
Even if she's amazingly busy, she can still make a phone call or send a text (Trust me, I know). It takes two seconds to send, "Hey! How are you?" If you're the only one making an effort to hang out, then she probably doesn't care enough. I'm not saying that she needs to contact you every day, but if she sends you one-word replies, makes excuses not to hang out with you, or brushes you off for other people all the time- Then she isn't worthy of the title 'Best Friend'. Maybe try getting new friends. Two can play this game!
#3 Is she jealous?
Its normal and good for friends to admire you in some way or another, but if that admiration turns into jealousy...a sweet friendship can turn sour fast. Does she seem to be competing with you? For example, does she always compare her painting to yours in art class? Is she hesitant to give you credit? Does she get overly upset when do something special without her? If the answer to these questions is yes, then you need to take some precautions. Try to give her a lot of credit for the talents she has. Don't brag about your privileges or how sweet your boyfriend is. Try to encourage her self esteem. Also, maybe just outright tell her what's going on. Ask her for some 'truth time'. Tell her that you feel that you guys are competing to much, and that you don't want your friendship to corrupt. Chances are, she'll talk it out and y'all will be best buddies again! However, if its to the point where you feel uncomfortable telling her anything cool about your life, and she seems set on beating you, it might be time to call it quits.
#4 Is she a bully?
Is she constantly making jokes at your expense in front of people? Does she knock on your weight or your pimples? If so, she is probably insecure with herself. Sit down and tell her how you feel (hear her side too!). If she makes an effort to change, GREAT- that means she cares. But if she stays the same, ditch that chick.
#5 Does she love you the same amount that you love her?
I have always cared for my friends deeply. But, most of the time it wasn't as big a deal for them. If your out of town for the summer and she doesn't call even once... ouch! Does she call you her best friend, without you asking? Does she tell her other friends about you? Is she excited to see you? Has she told you that she loves you (In a non-weird way of course)? Does she hug you goodbye? Its important to have a bff who loves you just as much as you love her. Love is what makes relationships work. Its good to show your friend that your devoted to her. Its good for her to be devoted to you. After all, the term 'Best Friends Forever' didn't come from nowhere!

So... Did your bestie pass the test? Tell us in the comments!
